CHILL sponsors events and programs to promote being Smoke-Free! Some of our events include Smoke-Free Nights at football games and bowling allies; Smoking Cessation programs at high schools, on the community college campus and at Grace Network; holding informational tables at local businesses and school campuses during the Great American Smokeout. CHILL creates and designs tag lines for promo items, billboards and flyers.
Also, CHILL has worked hard to change policies in local restaurants to go smoke-free and has developed and distributed our local "Smoke-Free Dining Guide". Many of our activities are funded by grants from the VA Dept of Health Tobacco Use Control Project, which is funded by a federal grant from the CDC.
